Pre Operative Instructions to Hernia Patients 

Hernia Patients should observe following guidelines. 

Preparation 
1.Complete fasting 6-8 hours prior to surgery
2.Normal diet on the night before surgery
3.Important medications should be taken before surgery. Like Medicines on Hypertension and Diabetes.
4.Aspirin like medicines should be discontinued 8 days prior to surgery with physicians approval.
5.Preoperative Physician's medical fitness. 
6.Shaving the whole area of surgery at home.
 
Admission to Hospital 
1.Admit in the hospital usually at 8 am in morning or as specified.
2.Bring all your investigation reports.
3.Bring an attendant for you.
4.Do not bring expensive jewelry items.
5.Bring all your premedication.
6.Come complete fasting as told above.
7.Please sign the consent form.
8.Please give your details to the nurse who admits you in hospital.
 
Premedication to be taken before ( Prior night ) 
Please take following tablets on prior night after dinner.

 1. Tab. Dulcolax ( 2 )
2. Tab. Gasex ( 2 )
